So what happens if a few months away from your wedding, there will be no wedding anymore? If this is due to other commitments, and simply having to postpone your wedding is required most companies are happy to move one date to another. When the wedding simply won’t be happening at all anymore there are quite a few plans that will need to change.

This can be an extremely difficult time for any Bride or Groom-To-Be, and contacting venues, caterers and other wedding specialists may be very emotional and the last thing you feel like doing. If this is simply too much and moving too quickly, ask your best friends or family members to help you.
A phone call to each supplier will let them know that the date is no longer required. Try not to put this off for too long, as the more notice you provide the better chance you will have of being refunded some of your initial deposit.
Each supplier will have different policies for cancellation, however everyone knows how sensitive this can be for anyone. They will work with you to understand your needs, and if possible return your deposit or part there of. If you have to cancel your wedding within a very short period of time, sometimes a deposits simply cannot be refunded due to current expenses and preparation already involved.
Once you have contacted all your guests and suppliers that would have been attending or assisting at your wedding, you can really take the time to heal and move forward.
