Tips To Take Care of Your Finger Nails

Taking good care of your finger nails is so important. Your fingernails can show all sorts of information: your hobbies, your salary, or even your snacking habits. Keep them neat by clipping your nails once a week. File them by stroking in one direction. Gently push back each cuticle, the skin growing over the base of the nail, with the tip of an emery board.

Remember that taking good care of your nails is best done after a shower. At this time, your nails are at their softest. Give your nails a thorough looking-over for any discolorations or suspicious marks.

Do you have ingrown nails? Ingrown nails are actually nails that have grown out of the skin. If you experience no pain yet, pull back the skin and simply trim the nail. If there is pain already, consult a doctor to provide remedy.

Lastly, common warts which are commonly found in fingers, nails and hands are common on broken nails or hangnails. Warts can be spread in many ways. It may be transmitted by scratching, shaving, and by brushing hair. Appearance of warts may be disfiguring.

Do not use much product, so just carefully pour a little mineral powder to your bronzer or blush jar lid. Then swirl brush cover. Make sure that the mineral powder is of uniform brush and then gently tap on the edge of the lid with a brush to remove any excess.

Commonly, warts are treated with preparations that contain salicylic acid. Most of these are over-the-counter drugs. Salicylic preparations dissolve the protein warts are made of. Topical creams that have antiviral properties can also be indicated. This can also be treated with freezing methods where warts are exposed to temperature of minus 70F. Duct tape is also a recommended remedy. By duct taping the warts they are unable to breathe and become suffocated. Laser and infrared treatments are also an option. And in uncommon cases, surgical removal is done.

There are also home remedies in removing warts. However, not all of them are guaranteed to work. More or less, some have used such remedies. It is for one to decide whether to have it as their remedy or not. Home remedies would include aloe vera, apple cider vinegar, banana peel, banyan tree, cabbage, cashew nut, castor oil, coriander, cumin seeds, dandelion, Echinacea pills, essential lemon oil and others.

This treatment for the infection may have to be continued a few times to ensure that all the pus is cleared from your finger. Between each procedure apply some Neosporin on the infected finger and cover either with Band-Aid or plaster.
